The Issue Of Gun Control - 844 Words

Gun Control These days there are many different controversial topics for example, one of these topics is the current situation gun control and whether it should be more or less strict about its rules. I believe that the United States government should increase the amount of gun laws to a federal level so that it would affect all of the states. By doing so it would make it more difficult to attain to guns and it can be kept out of the hands of the wrong people and the black market. By making it more difficult to attain a gun to a certain point people would not want to even purchase one and the more guns that are kept out of the hand of the wrong people and the black market the number of crime and gun related deaths will go down. When guns ended up in the wrong hands incidents like the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting (S. H. Shooting), the Colorado movie theater shooting (C. T. Shooting), and the Virginia Tech shooting happens (Shootings). If we are able to make the current gun control laws s tricter we could prevent future travesties like them from occurring. According to gunviolencearchive.org last year in 2014 a total of 51,411 gun violence related incidents occurred and of those 12,519 ended up in death and 22,865 remained injured (Archive). If the government can pass stricter gun control laws then these numbers will massively drop. An example of this hypothesis being true is in Japan, they have very strict gun laws and as a result the amount of gun related deaths isShow MoreRelatedGun Issue And Gun Control1401 Words   |  6 PagesUniversity, Gun Politics has been a course I have aspired to take.
